The Electronic Monitoring Program provides the Judiciary with a cost-effective alternative to traditional incarceration. The program assists with reduction of the jail population while maintaining intensive twenty-four (24) hour a day supervision of clients.

While participating on Electronic Monitoring, clients must adhere to strict rules and regulations. They are permitted to maintain employment and attend any court ordered activities, however, they must provide written verification of these movements. They are not permitted to make any movements from their residence without the permission of an Electronic Monitoring staff member. During 2007, an additional program was created that required the use of a Global Positioning System (GPS) and cellular units as an additional means of supervision. The clients are monitored on a twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week basis, with the on-call officer carrying a pager for immediate response to suspected violations.
