This group is responsible for the project management and in-house or consultant design of roadway projects, which are required for the construction and maintenance of the county and township road system in unincorporated Lucas County. In addition, the department assists the County Engineer by maintaining the pavement management system for the county system; developing and prioritizing short and long term county roadway projects; overseeing the geometrics and roadway standards utilized by the office; providing engineering assistance to the eleven Lucas County Townships; participating in regional project planning and studies; developing engineering services contracts; and searches, applies, and acquires non-local (state and federal) funding for the various county and township projects.
